It could be easy to dismiss what God did to the Philistines’ idol but that would not be wise on our part. Our God is a jealous God. He will not allow there to be any other god placed above Him without consequence. Do you have gods in your life that you have placed above God? You may say, “no” with your mouth, but your actions hold the true answer. Take a life inventory and be honest with yourself. If you have placed “idols” before God, get rid of them.
