Your Work May Be Forgotten

We are finishing the story of Joseph, but I wanted our passage to come from Exodus. During Joseph’s time in Egypt, God did a miracle work through Joseph when He saved Egypt from seven years of famine. God, through Joseph, was the reason why Egypt prospered. Yet, as with anything, time went by, people did not remember, or never knew, what God had done through Joseph. Therefore, they turned against the Israelites. 

As you live your life, be mindful that jealousy and envy are terrible things. Be careful not to take things for granted. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 

Exodus 1:6-8

6 Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, 7 but the Israelites were exceedingly fruitful; they multiplied greatly, increased in numbers and became so numerous that the land was filled with them.
8 Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt.
