Agape Leaders is led by Dr. Gregg Mays - a passionate, committed, role model for hundreds of students and adults - from young to old. He built his leadership foundation through twenty-one years of the U.S. Army where he trained candidates to become strong, confident leaders and soldiers. He continued not only teaching others, but learning as well while he obtained his Doctors of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership and also a Masters of Ministerial Leadership.

He is proud to say that under his leadership, his teams have won several championships! He was also a character coach for football programs at Central Michigan University and George Jenkins High School, Lakeland, FL.
Dr. Mays has served as an elder for two churches and has experience starting and sustaining ministries. He has been a leader in churches around the world and has gained knowledge to provide leadership development strategies to churches in need. |
Besides working with Agape Leaders, Dr. Mays is a huge supporter for his high school students. Recently he was asked, what is a normal week in your life and what is it you don't like about your week? His response was,
"A normal week in my life is filled with trying to make a positive difference in as many lives as possible. It sounds cliché, but that’s my goal every week. I attend events of my students. I speak words of encouragement to as many people as possible. That is what I like to do. What I do not like to do is waste time. I try to make every second of every day count. Although I do not feel the need to fill every second of every day with action, I do want my “inaction” to be on purpose. It is called resting." |
Dr. Mays also has a close family that loves spending time together. Between traveling the world together and watching a good movie, they spend several moments laughing, loving and supporting each other. Here's some fun facts that Dr. Mays likes to share about his family:
"Our family is very close. That credit goes to my wife and daughter. We love to travel together and watch a good movie together. Years ago we started a family tradition of watching Jim Carrey’s version of The Grinch during Christmas, and we continue that today, even though we no longer live in the same city. The dog’s name is Jazz and he is my daughter’s dog. He’s very laid back. Probably the best dog I’ve ever known. The thing that ALWAYS makes us laugh is our memories from living around the world. We took the approach that no matter where we went, we had each other. It drew us together and when funny things in life happened we laughed. Now we look back on those things and we laugh at those situations; even the ones that were a bit more serious at the time." |
