Godly Sorrow
This verse is one to ponder. Think about the weight of its words. When we live for God, fixing our eyes on Jesus, we will still face sorrow. But Paul teaches us that “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret.” If we can keep our faith in the time of Godly sorrow, the reward is worth our pain. The key is ensuring that we are seeking God and living for Him. The converse is sorrow that comes from our disobedient actions. This “worldly sorrow brings death.” No one should want that. Be reminded that “death” in the Bible usually means eternal separation from God. That’s bad! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 2 Corinthians 7:10 10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. Today’s Readings: 2 Corinthians 7:8-16; Psalm 48; Proverbs 22:17-19
