How Much Do You Want Jesus

This passage in John gives a clear indication of how much Peter loves Jesus and wanted to be near him. 

It would be shortsighted of us to think about Peter’s denial of knowing Jesus as Peter’s “true colors.” That was more like Peter’s humanity coming to the front. We have those moments too.

Please be mindful of this, someone’s lowest moment is not necessarily a true indicator of how much they want Jesus in their life. It may simply be an indicator of their humanity. Please have grace on standby so you may show it to people in these moments. 

That’s what Jesus did in His interaction with Peter. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 

John 21:7

7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water.
