Not What You Want To Hear

This passage is one on which you should meditate. It’s a reminder to be careful of how you receive truth.

The people were listening well until Paul said something that they did not want to believe as truth. At that point they wanted to take his life. Definitely not a Christ-like behavior. 

In our desire to follow Christ, we can never leave compassion and grace at home. They must be with us at all times.

Think about how you respond when someone says something and it is not what you want to hear. Does your response draw you closer to Christ or drive a wedge between you? 

Take your walk with Christ seriously. Follow Him well, even when the message is tough to hear but it’s the truth. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 

Acts 22:21-22

21 “Then the Lord said to me, ‘Go; I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’ ”

22 The crowd listened to Paul until he said this. Then they raised their voices and shouted, “Rid the earth of him! He’s not fit to live!”
