Walking with Jesus is simple. We live a life that focuses on obedience to Him. How do we do that? Love God and love His people. Jesus tells us, as recorded in John 14, that the people who obey His commands are the ones who love Him. That begs the question, what were His commands. Jesus tells us that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength. He said the second one is to love our neighbor as ourself.
If we do that, we will be walking in the light. If we fall short of that, we are walking in the darkness. Which are you walking in? Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 1 John 1:5-7 5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness,we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. Today’s Reading: 1 John 1
