Productive For Christ

This passage is one that can easily go unnoticed. However, there’s quite a bit here. Paul is reminding us that we must be ready to serve the needs of others, while simultaneously living a productive life. I believe he’s talking about our work life. Paul, a tent maker, always worked to earn a living wherever he went. His goal was not to become a financial burden on those he served. 

It can be easy to become focused on work or ministry. I believe Paul is teaching us to be focused on both. When both are your priority, your work life becomes your ministry life and vice versa. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.

14 Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.
