Praise God for His faithfulness. As I read this passage I thought about the peace we have in Christ.
Many people live their lives in control, never yielding their life to Christ. However, one day their mortality will set in. When that day comes, if they have rejected Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, to where can they turn? This is why it is important for us to live such lives that people see our lives and glorify God. Yes, if we have accepted what Jesus did on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, we are heaven bound. However, God has not called us to be self-serving. We must share the gospel in our words and in our deeds. Are you sharing the gospel daily? Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 1 Thessalonians 5:8-11 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. Today’s Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
