I remember the first time I heard the song Trading My Sorrows. I was spending the day with a good friend of mine, Theresa Santos. She and I went to play golf together. When I heard the part of the song the highlights this passage, the Lord quickened my heart. I thought about many of the things I had experienced in life, but God had brought me through. It is a reminder that “in this world you will have trouble.”
If you are experiencing a difficult season of life, place your hope in Jesus Christ. In Him you will never be crushed, in despair, abandoned, nor destroyed. In Him, you are safe. No matter what life looks like. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Today’s Reading: 2 Corinthians 4
