Many people balk at the idea of giving to their local church. Honestly, I cannot blame them. There have been many instances where “church money” has been misused. However, we must be careful not to have such a jaded view of giving. We should have a desire to give to support those ministering to the people. Our giving should be done cheerfully, not focused on the amount, but rather the desire to give what you’ve purposed to give.
We must always remember that it is God who has provided the gift. Trust Him when man lets you down. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 2 Corinthians 8:10-12 10 And here is my judgment about what is best for you in this matter. Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. 11 Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. 12 For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. Today’s Reading: 2 Corinthians 8
